    Before discussing the on-site inspection of corrosion, sediment, and microorganisms in cooling water systems, it is necessary to first introduce the requirements of the "Design Code for Industrial Circulating Cooling Water Treatment" (GB50050-95) for corrosion rate, fouling thermal resistance, heterotrophic bacteria count, and sludge content in cooling water systems.
  According to the Design Regulations:
 (1) The corrosion rate of carbon steel pipes for heat exchange equipment in open circulating cooling water systems should be less than 0125mm/a (5mpy); The corrosion inhibition rate of copper, copper alloy, and stainless steel pipe walls should be less than 0005mm/a (0.2mpy)

 (2) The annual fouling thermal resistance value of the water side wall tube of the heat exchange equipment in an open circulating cooling water system should be 1.72 * 10-4 to 3.44 * 10-4, and the annual fouling and scale inhibition value of the water side tube wall of the heat exchange equipment in a closed circulating cooling water system should be less than 0.86 * 10-4

  (3) The heterotrophic bacteria in open circulating cooling water should be less than 5 * 105;       Mud content less than 4mlL/m ³
