Desalination rate
Desalination rate refers to the percentage of total soluble impurities that are removed from the system feed through a reverse osmosis membrane, or the percentage of specific components such as divalent ions or organic matter that are removed through a nanofiltration membrane.

rate of recovery
Recovery rate refers to the percentage of water converted into product water or permeate in a reverse osmosis system. The design of reverse osmosis system is based on the preset inlet water quality, and the concentrated water valve set on the concentrated water pipe can adjust and set the recovery rate. The recovery rate is often maximized to achieve maximum water production, but its limit should be that the reverse osmosis system will not precipitate due to saturation of impurities such as salts.

Salt permeability refers to the opposite value of desalination rate, which is the percentage of dissolved impurities in the influent that pass through the membrane.

Membrane flux

It refers to the amount of fluid passing through a unit membrane area per unit time, generally expressed as (). The membrane flux is determined by both external driving force and membrane resistance, with the properties of the membrane itself playing a decisive role

The pressure difference between the inlet and outlet (concentrated water) of a certain section.

System pressure difference
   The pressure difference between the total inlet and outlet (terminal concentrated water) of the system.

   The water pollution index is a mathematical model that summarizes and statistically analyzes various pollutants in water bodies, and uses a simple numerical value to comprehensively reflect the degree of water pollution. The water pollution index can be used to compare water pollution situations in different spaces or times, and can also serve as a basis for water pollution classification and grading
